According to the Public Relations Department of PGPIC,
this project, with a budget of €1.3 billion, is one of the most important
projects of the Ministry of Petroleum during the President's provincial visit
to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad. It is a project that has regained momentum in
the past two years, in line with the development approach of the 13th administration
and the strategic policies of the Persian Gulf Holding, putting an end to the
17-year-long anticipation of the people of Gachsaran.
According to the report, at Gachsaran
Petrochemical Company, where 83% of its parts and equipment are domestically
produced, it is planned to produce one million tons of ethylene and 84,000 tons
of C3+ annually.
During the launch operations, more than 3,000
individuals, mainly local workforce, were employed, and upon operation, 1,000
individuals will be employed in this project.
Gachsaran Petrochemical Company is one of the 11
major and intra-complex projects previously mentioned by the CEO of Persian
Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company as the projects eligible for inauguration
in the calendar year of 1402, which began on March 21, serving as examples and
symbols of this group's commitment to being the flagbearer of petrochemical
industry development for completing unfinished plans with the goal of creating
wealth.
Previously, in the month of Ordibehesht of this
year, the commissioning of the Hoveyzeh Gas Refinery began with the aim of
extinguishing the flaring gases of the West Karun and protecting the environment.
