According to the company’s report, total output reached 72,795 tons,
up from 54,229 tons in the first six months of 2023—an increase of over 18,000
tons.
This growth was driven by significant rises in the production of key
products. Melamine crystal production grew by 61%, ammonium sulfate by 39%,
sulfuric acid by 18%, ammonium sulfate by 40%, and hydrochloric acid by 37%.
As part of its strategy to complete the value chain, Urmia
Petrochemical also launched a nitrogen-sulfur fertilizer unit with an annual
capacity of 40,000 tons. Exports of this fertilizer are expected to boost the
company’s revenue.
Additionally, the Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) project, recognized as
a national initiative due to its production of solid PAC, is nearing
completion. It will soon be officially inaugurated and integrated into the
production line.
The two projects—nitrogen-sulfur fertilizer and poly aluminium
chloride—are projected to generate approximately $16 million in foreign
exchange earnings, further accelerating the company’s progress.
